reinventing an archetype - home phone
This design is a modern reinvention of the home phone archetype. The rendering was created using SolidWorks.
Why do people hate the stereotypical archetype of a home phone? Loud ringtones, cords and clunkiness. This re-examined version of the contemporary home phone allows individuals to connect their phone through Bluetooth - except for there's a catch - this phone only allows ten selected phone numbers to reach you while you are in the
privacy of your home. This phone design allows for digital detox when at your home - while still receiving the important calls you need from loved ones. No cords, no clunkiness, no late-night calls from your boss - just bliss.
Culturally we have evolved from needing better tech to now needing tech that stops us from our technology addiction. You can read the full report from this project below!
