Sustainable Hair Clip Design

The InfiniClip is a sustainable hair clip I designed and modeled using SolidWorks and then prototyped using Cura and a 3D printer.

 

The development of the idea for the InfiniClip started with evaluating products I use in my everyday life that create unnecessary waste. I noticed that the hair claw clips I was purchasing would break and had to be thrown out too regularly. In today's world, a lot of products are
designed for short-term use, this allows producers to increase their profits, with consumers needing to replace and repurchase products at a faster rate. Hair claws are one of these products, they are designed to be used short-term and disposed of.

The InfiniClip changes this - A hair claw clip that is made of recycled materials, can be used for years and is easily recycled at the end of its life cycle. You can read my full report on the project below!
